Our design team are regularly approached to undertake technically challenging projects and we are always willing to work closely with our customers to turn their vision into reality.
Microsystems was established in 2003. Our headquarters and main manufacturing facility is based in the UK, about 30min drive from both Manchester and Liverpool airports.
Since our formation, Microsystems has focussed on ultra-precision micro-machining and micro-moulding. The majority of our customers are in the medical and pharmaceutical markets. We also operate in other markets that require close tolerance polymer microparts, polymer optics, or ultra-precision machined components.
Microsystems has invested in the latest equipment for high accuracy machining, including micro-EDM, micro-wire erosion, 5-axis micro-milling, micro-pin-grinding and super-precision turning. All machining and moulding is carried out in a clean, temperature controlled environment. Mould design and moulding are supported where appropriate by full 3D Moldflow.
As part of our commitment to maintain our position at the cutting edge of manufacturing developments, Microsystems is involved in various projects with research institutes in the UK and overseas. This includes collaborative R&D work in national and European projects on micro-machining and micro-manufacturing.
We are part of a global business network and we work with business partners in other parts of Europe and in Asia for specialist manufacturing services and mass production. Our recent acquisition of a manufacturing facility in Singapore is part of our global business strategy.
As we go into the second half of the season it is great to see consistent growth in our player numbers. The article in ‘The Local’ has generated interest and we saw the first player turn up for a training session last Thursday.
Squad Numbers in February:
- Under 8 – 9 Players
- Under 9 – 12 Players
- Under11 – 11 Players
- Under 12 – 9 Players
- Under 14 – 14 Players
- Under 15 – 3 Players
This now takes us closer to a total 60 members as the season closes.
We need to work on promoting the club for next season as we need to backfill at Under 8 and Under 14. The icing on the cake would be an additional U16 squad so the 3 players who train only with us this season get a chance to play next season.
Promotional material will be available next month, for all to distrubute to friends or at school.
The growth does mean that we have met our growth target for the GTG grant in year one, but we have to create a further team team next season to ensure we keep the funding.
Your coaching staff will increase by two next month as one existing coach and two new coaches go through The Football Association level 1 coaching course. 3 other existing coaches will further their coaching education by undertaking the ‘Module 1′ coaching certificate in the coming months.
We have been fortunate that volunteers have come forward and willing to give up their time to obtain their qualifications and allow the club to grow with resources in place.

2013 will mark 10 years that Golborne Girls Football Club have been in operation.
This is seen as a major milestone for the club.
To mark this occasion, we have decided to put together a commemorative calendar that will be available towards the end of the year.
For now though, we are working on the calendar preparation.
We are currently looking for a local business to fill each available month on our calendar.
If your company has an interest to advertise on our calendar, then please contact Graham via email:
gleyland@golbornegirlsfc.co.uk or alternatively call him on: 07522 408046.
We anticipate places to go fast so please don’t hesitate and Call today to avoid disappointment.
The Commemorative Sponsor Details will be on the website Shortly.
The Lowton and Golborne Local have once again given us space to promote the club in the community. Our sincere thanks to Joanne and all those who helped put this together and include in the February Edition which should have been delivered this week.
We have already recieved enquiries from potential new members, so hopefully we will see some new faces over the coming weeks to boost all the squads at training and on matchdays.

On April 1st 2012 this website will become the new home for Golborne Girls Football Club on the internet.
Unfortunately the choice was not ours after haviong the .co website in operation since 2003.
Microsoft are phasing out the service we used and the newly introduced equivalent would mean re-writing the website and work to all the services the workforce use behind the scenes to run the club and communicate / share documents.
In addition a monthly charge per user is proposed.
We have therefore taken the option of a new domain and web-host which is modern and flexible for our needs.
During this year apart from the main website we will introduce:
- E-Learning Platform
- Social Network (Similar to Facebook)
The downside is a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure no information is lost from the original website, email addresses will change, all the people who add content to the old website will require teaching to use the new platform we are using.
The most worrying is advising our sponsors of the change as they will have to change their websites and links to suit.
Please bear with us as we go through this change.
